Richard Burrell

Richard Burrell 1

Based in London UK and Bishop’s Stortford, Richard Burrell’s performance on Solo Guitar is the epitome of passion, precision and all round musical excellence. Richard possesses an extensive repertoire that appeals to all tastes so if you enjoy a little romance and easy, non-intimidating music whether foreground or background, Richard Burrell has the experience and “performance awareness” to take you on the journey you desire. The visual experience is also rather unique in that Richard uses a “percussive finger style”, which combined with his delicate touch and extended techniques, promise to exceed the expectations of his audience. You see and hear the icing on the cake, the musical and technical perfection, the result of hours of study, practice, “blood, sweat and tears” (literally) and many sacrifices that are made daily to become such an artist.

When it comes to ensuring his audience and hosts enjoy their musical entertainment to the maximum, Richard has this very well covered indeed….. If you would like a specific song for “walking down the aisle” or even a proposal (ooooh!), Richard can do an arrangement specifically for you.

Richard has been living and breathing music since his early teens. He progressed from passion and hunger to perform, to gaining a first-class degree at one of Europe’s finest contemporary music schools, The Institute Of Contemporary Performance. As well as live performances at the Royal Albert Hall, Shepherd’s Bush Empire and Indigo O2 Richard’s guitar playing has been broadcast on Channel 4 and BBC Radio 2. His main work involves him playing tranquil and classy sets of classical pieces and well known modern numbers at a variety of events. Richard is happy to adapt a setlist to the mood of the function.

Richard’s Repertoire is constantly growing but this will give you an idea of what is literally at his finger-tips:
